Wasteland

1.
Beware the bearers of false gifts and their broken promises I want to believe I want to receive We oppose all deceivers Conduit closing to all receivers I want to believe I want to receive
2.
You can rest assured That we're not alone Just millions of miles and millions of years Between us and the unknown So keep 'em looking down and they won't look up If you keep 'em looking down they'll never look up to see We're not alone Human life arches like an arrow So take no chances, stick to your straight and narrow Human minds can be petty and shallow You can't stand alone when all you do is follow So keep 'em looking down and they won't look up If you keep 'em looking down they'll never look up to see We're not alone
3.
Grind down and dynamite the mountain Dam the rivers and flood the towns Ancient libraries filled with books We burnt 'em to the ground How can we stop the sun from shining On all these filthy little underlings? We'll drive them down underground Our utopian world scrubbed clean Just a wobble turns the sands to sea It's changing all I see Just a wobble flips the poles Melting caps and ozone holes Eight great wonders They get paved over To control your mind And create a new world order Great works scraped clean Who the hell are they appeasing? Roll out the bombs and we get glass from sand But we're just a flash in the pan Just a wobble and the grasslands return And our land bridge is overturned Just a wobble makes the desert bloom Sea rise, solar shift, sonic boom
4.
We're breaking the horse With the use of excessive force We're cracking the whip You bite down harder on the bit They give you circuses They give you bread They plant their thoughts into your head When the future is staged Will there be moral outrage? When politicians lie Will there be public outcry? Can you even remember a time when they paid for their crimes? Can you remember a time that they paid with their lives? And not yours and mine? After the war Will they tell us what we're fighting for? Trust the shepherd, fear the dog We run lean, they live high on the hog Just throw us in and see what floats Welcome the guest, you're just the host
5.
The numerical code For decades hidden right under your nose Locked inside, deep within Predictions inside the pyramids Planetary configuration Harbinger of death and devastation The rogue planet returns The black star from the edge of the universe You scream into the static Will you embrace the phenomenon? Will you die on your feet Or will you live on bended knee? The teeming masses stretch up for air Distraction was their downfall Mass extinction to cleanse The dark star Nibiru ascends Trans Neptunian object Gliding in perihelion Will you welcome the apocalypse? Will you embrace the end?

Already Gone 05:28
The ship is sinking The sharks are circling There's blood in the water now Darkness encompassing The sinking feeling feels too real It feels all too real Don't waste your time looking for me Don't waste another breath on me I'm already gone There's a light in the distance Is it death closing in? Bioluminescent orbs are flickering around me Don't waste your time looking for me Don't waste another breath on me I'm already gone
7.
Amnesia 05:03
I'm a blank slate, I'm wiped clean Full of amnesiatic ramblings Who am I? Where do I go? Who am I? Will I ever know? Can't remember landing here But the red desert feels like home Deep space astro-pioneer I'm wandering out into the unknown Tabla rasa, I'm wiped clean No deep thoughts, they're all left unseen I forget why I'm even here Everything I knew is so unclear Can't remember landing here But the red desert feels like home Deep space astro-pioneer I'm wandering out into the unknown
8.
There's a pale moon in a red sky Setting in the evening light Well don't mind me I'm just passing by Am I left to roam on this planet all alone? If you get this message just send my bones back home I'm buried in a hole I'm deep out of sight I can't stand another Cold and lonely night Am I left to roam this planet all alone? If you get this message just send my bones back home
9.
Wasteland 03:24
Trapped behind the dirty glass Oxygen depleted, gone Can't hear my inner thoughts Can't feel, can't see at all All quiet except for heavy breathing But I feel like I'm not alone Will I ever leave this wasteland? Will I ever make it home? The ever closing presence There's nothing behind their eyes Can't stop now I hear them coming I'll be prey before too long My body is shutting down My brain is long past gone Will I ever escape the wasteland? Will I ever make it home? They're inching closer I can't find my way Dust clouds surround me Reaching out forever more Will I ever leave the wasteland? Will I ever make it home? Will I ever escape this wasteland? Will I ever get back home?

A cabal of creatures Slip out of their caves The dead reach up through dirt and loam To slip out of their graves Darkness hides Their deviant smiles Blood curdling cries Echo for miles Shadows hide The blood stained lips You run to escape And slip through their grips Unearthly howls Marks the timing right A cold wind blows All though the night Awakened now by the warming glow The morning dew, the sun which rose The blood red flicker of their gaze Was but a figment, a memory haze Was it dream or a night mare? Was it real? Were they really there? All that's left, just smoldering ash And footprints that lead to a wandering path
11.
I am a passenger in time Picked up and locked away in my prime Now I'm just cryogenic head I am alive even when I'm dead I am the perfect genetic specimen Immune to all your deadly pathogens Freeze me 'til medicine catches up Then let technology run amuck I am a passenger in time Picked up and locked away in my prime Now I'm just cryogenic head I am alive even when I'm dead
12.
Megalith 04:26
I used to be a fascination I used to control the tides There used to be a man in me But he's gone off to hide When you forget about me Just get back to the countryside Where the lights are dim I'll be hidden in the darkened skies I'm not here I'm not here but I haven't disappeared The ancients used to look up to me As if I were a god Their megaliths traced my path All around and abroad The ones you've built and lit up too They've got no meaning at all The only questions you need answered Are how bright? and how tall? I'm not here I'm not here but I haven't disappeared
13.
Chimera 06:55
The chimera is self aware Complacent in its agency It transcends the earthly vessel Equality through engineering Embryonic alterations Abnormalities under threat Its body is just a vessel No social order, no safety net When I was born I took my first deep breath And when I die I know I'll take my last Until then I won't be scared of death And 'til that day I'll forget about the past
